We have a wide range of volunteer opportunities available during The 149th Open at Royal St. George’s in Sandwich. These are off-course roles and will be based at the venue entrances and exits, and at train stations, car parks and other local areas. The key aim is to guide spectators along their journey, provide them with relevant information and promote the other activities happening in the area. It really is a great way to get involved and support both The Championship and the local area. We want to maximise the benefit for visitors and local residents.
Sign up here to register your interest. You have the option of obtaining a nationally recognised level 2 qualification. You will be sent a sign-up for this, which can be completed online if you wish to take up the free qualification. This is delivered by our partners at Dover Technical College. If you don’t wish to undertake the training that is fine too – you may qualify for this to be free for you to complete. The online training modules will be available to start from mid March.
